The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF)
The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) is an internationally-supported private, not-for-profit university located in Kabul, Afghanistan. Established in 2006, it provides modern, global standard education to its students. AUAF currently offers programs that cover the spectrum of post-secondary education, from university preparation to undergraduate degree programs to training for professionals.
- The Foundation Studies Program prepares students for the challenging expectations of university degree programs, and also develops the high-level English language skills necessary to take on major employment positions in Afghanistan or abroad.
- The Undergraduate Program offers bachelor degrees in a number of disciplines, including Business Administration and Information Technology. All degree programs include a strong liberal arts component, which is critical to building general knowledge in a variety of fields of study.
- The Professional Development Institute offers high-impact, high-value training courses, workshops and seminars to professionals from the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and governmental bodies.
All programs are taught in English by highly-qualified faculty and instructors with academic backgrounds from internationally-accredited universities in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia, supported by the largest English-language academic library in the country and a technologically-advanced campus.
As the country’s only private, not-for-profit university, the American University works closely with donors and members of the governmental, business, and development communities in Afghanistan and abroad to provide its students with high-quality education.
The University holds among its core values academic integrity and professionalism. Further, it is open, transparent, and committed to equality of opportunity and academic freedom.
