Richmond American University London

One of the first universities to introduce the liberal arts to the UK when it was founded 50 years ago in 1972, Richmond American University London pioneered this multi-disciplinary approach. Diversity, choice and freedom are hallmarks of the Richmond liberal arts curriculum which develops students’ applied skills, making them career-ready.  This focus on providing students with a comprehensive education provides them with a breadth of knowledge for both personal development and great preparation for work or further study.

The University awards a UK and US degree for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, having been awarded Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) by the Privy Council in the UK.  The University also holds US degree-granting authority from the State of Delaware under accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.  The University’s unique offer of both UK and US degrees opens up more doors for students when they graduate on both sides of the Atlantic, and demonstrates a strong commitment to UK-US relations and to internationalisation more broadly.

The founding principle of Richmond American University London is ‘Unity in Diversity’, and international education, communication and exchange is at the core of the University’s vision, mission and values.  Students who come to Richmond become part of a vibrant and diverse international student community, where students are encouraged and supported to flourish in a mix of diverse cultures, backgrounds and perspectives.

Richmond American University London is based in a new, state of the art campus in Chiswick Park, west London.  This award-winning location has a strong track record of sustainability and is set in 33 acres of landscaped gardens with a lake and waterfall.  Chiswick Park has great transportation connections with easy access to all the attractions of the world’s top student city as well as Heathrow Airport.

Chiswick Park is also home to some of the world’s leading companies such as Warner-Discovery, Paramount Pictures, IMG, Singapore Airlines, Starbucks, Pokemon, and Pernod Ricard.  The close proximity of these companies will enhance employability for students through new partnerships with organisations on Chiswick Park – internships are strongly encouraged for all students at the University, providing more career opportunities on graduation.

There is a broad range of undergraduate programmes on offer at Richmond, all of which are four years in length, encompassing BA (Hons) Business Management, BSc (Hons) Computer Science, BA (Hons) Psychology and BA (Hons) Communications. Our portfolio of Masters programmes, the majority of which can be taken in one year, include several MBA options, MA Luxury Brand Management in partnership with Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, MA International Relations and MSc International Business Management.
